California Republicans using “Dirty Tricks” in attempt to steal the 2008 Presidential Election

Thanks to the hard work of CDP Fraud Busters around the state, we have discovered that the Republicans’ paid signature gatherers are using deceptive “bait and switch” tactics to trick people into signing the petition to get the so-called Electoral College “reform” initiative on the June ballot.
These tactics are so egregious that today I joined with Kristina Wilfore, Executive Director of the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center (BISC), at a press conference to ask Attorney General Jerry Brown to investigate the signature gathering company Link behind the Republican “Steal the State” Plot.

As the Republicans get more and more desperate, with the signature submission deadline fast approaching and their poll numbers flat-lining, we expect to hear more and more complaints about these fraudulent, bait and switch tactics.
We must stay vigilant and we need your help. We are spending precious resources on legal work, outreach and education to defeat this initiative and as the Republicans ramp up their efforts, so must we.

We also have heard that Republican millionaire Darrell Issa, the man who bankrolled and orchestrated the 2003 Recall Election based on lies and half-truths, is contributing to this effort bringing his platinum checkbook to the national stage. Issa spent nearly two million dollars to put a Republican in the Governor’s office. How much will he spend to keep the White House under Republican rule?

Yes this type of stuff never ends, no matter what happens. Now I see people in Riverside, Orange, San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino getting people in with the phony Pledge Of Allegiance Petiton and getting them to sign a petition to “Stop Anothe Florida”. They are saying it is designed to get rid of the electoral college and make California a popular vote state, whatever that means. People need to go to jail and send a message. Jerry Brown must act now or have the state stolen like Florida. Go to any WalMart and you will see them. We cant have another Republican like Bush because we failed to act and let California get broken in half with Texas and those Red States keep all their electoral votes.
