Another Congress Member Backs Impeachment

Congressman Robert Brady, (D., PA), who represents portions of Philadelphia, on Tuesday signed on as a cosponsor of House Resolution 333, articles of impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney.
Also on Tuesday, Cindy Sheehan, Rev. Lennox Yearwood, Carlos Arredondo, Bill Perry and many other leaders of the movement for impeachment held a rally in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia was the first stop on the Journey for Humanity Tour after Monday’s march and civil disobedience in Washington, D.C. The tour began in Crawford, Texas, on July 10.

With the addition of Congressman Brady, and including the original sponsor of H Res 333, Dennis Kucinich, there are now 15 Congress Members for impeachment. Including Jesse Jackson Jr., who says he supports impeachment, but who has not signed onto any bill, brings the total to 16.
These heroes are: Jan Schakowsky, Maxine Waters, Hank Johnson, Keith Ellison, Lynn Woolsey, Barbara Lee, Albert Wynn, William Lacy Clay, Dennis Kucinich, Yvette Clarke, Jim McDermott, Jim Moran, Bob Filner, Sam Farr, Robert Brady, and probably Jesse Jackson Jr.
The public is much more strongly behind the impeachment of Cheney, with 54% in favor and 40% opposed: http://afterdowningstreet.org/node/24390 It is impossible to say if that support is rising or falling, since – amazingly – only one poll has ever been done on the topic.
But H Res 333 http://kucinich.house.gov/SpotlightIssues/documents.htm only goes after a few of the obvious impeachable offenses committed by Cheney, and those few are related to the invasion and occupation of Iraq, and the threat of an aggressive war on Iran. War is an issue that scares off timid Congress Members. It’s possible that articles of impeachment on other topics (spying, torture, signing statements, subpoenas, obstruction of justice, exposing a CIA agent, etc…) would garner more signatures. Impeachment is too easy on them…
OK! That’s Enough! I Have Had it! Let’s Do This!
I have been reading and watching this crap go on all my life and it just keeps getting worse. Who can afford wandering the streets holding a sign that those in power laugh at? We are lead to believe that the system is so corrupt that the only way to fix it is for the people to rise up in armed rebellion! WRONG!
That is what they want you to believe because they know that most of us are peaceful people. We are so busy fighting against one another, for IDIOTIC reasons, that we have forgotten who runs things here! We don’t even think about what we have the power to do anymore. We simply bitch and moan about the other guy or the other party while others of us stream an endless river of articles about government-sponsored atrocities.
No one is offering a solution!
We don’t even know what awesome power we have so we have been letting it all slide.
THERE IS A SIMPLE SOLUTION TO OUR PROBLEMS!
We are a Constitutional Republic . “We The People” have the power! Let’s use that power. It is such incredible power that we only need a few of us in each State and those few need to only wield a little bit of it.
I am not going to ask you what the problem is with our Government is because I will get an endless list of red herrings that they have been feeding us since we were born. No, I am going to tell you the problem is:
THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT LISTENING TO US BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY DO NOT HAVE TO!
When we let them get away with it then we give them permission to ignore us. They are not accountable to us. What in this contact (Our Constitution) holds them to the terms?
It is found here in Article II Section 1 Clause 8:
Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” The other mention in the Constitution regarding the Legislative or Judicial branch’s oaths is a passing statement in Article VI Section 3:
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, SHALL BE BOUND by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States. (Emphasis is mine)
“Shall be bound” what does that mean? That means that simply mouthing an oath does not meet the duty of office. THEY SHALL BE BOUND! If they are not bound to their oaths then they are traitors or enemies of the Republic. If they pass and enforce legislation that is blatantly Un-Constitutional then they are in breach and are traitors to the Republic and the People. If they have not “BOUND” themselves to an oath then they are enemies of the People.

GUILTY! CASE CLOSED!
The sentence is hanging in public to make sure they are dead.
Do we have to go to this extreme? NO! We make them understand that we are prepared to do so and we will make good on our threat. They know we have the right and power to do so.
Simply forming a small groups and serving our public servants with a written presentment stating our intentions to hold them accountable or else will force them to comply. Start at the State level. Do the judges first. If they don’t comply then, and only then, will they need an example to understand that we are serious. One hanging is all that it will take and I assure you we will have their complete attention. IT IS IN OUR POWER! IT IS NOT ONLY OUR RIGHT, IT IS OUR DUTY! If law enforcement attempts to intervene, serve the sheriff and do him. He is under oath also and he knows it.
We have a lot of problems in Our Country that are due, in large part, to a criminal departure from our founding documents. Any law or agency that is outside of the Constitution is not a law or agency per the contract. End of discussion! If we do not understand the difference between Our Republic, Our State (state) Citizenship and the Corporation and Country known as “The United States of America” then we are screwed. They are fictions. They are not sovereign and we have no duty nor can we be forced to submit to these abominations. We are not a Democracy! We are a Constitutional Republic ! After serving our “public servants” with our presentment and if they don’t immediately begin dismantling these “colorable” abominations then we comeback a month later with the Sheriff and hang them in their front yard.
This article needs to be on the front page of every paper in the world, not just here in America . We need to just sit down and send this article to our Government and let them know they will end this nonsense today or we are going to fill the trees around our capitols with some butt-ugly fruit! After we get our brat government under control then that is the correct time to argue about the direction we, THAT’S WE, want to go.
We can draft a notice of intent and serve our Governors and State Representatives tomorrow afternoon.
Our military was not authorized under the Constitution for use in any offensive action. GUILTY!

Rally around one guy in each State and coordinate an effort. Give the public servants 30 days to respond to the will of the people. If after thirty days it is business as usual. Then it is time for pitchforks and torches. It is not “We the People” who are in rebellion. They in Government are the rebels. THEY SERVE US! WE ARE THE PEOPLE! We have the right, power and duty to do this. They are the criminals and it is they are in rebellion!
