College Student Activist Recruitment Campaign

This campaign is designed to collect and organize a database of student activists from all over the nation. We envision collecting name, school address, school name, home address, phone numbers, age or birthdates, email addresses, Twitter ID’s and Facebook account information along with areas of interests. Student activists will sign themselves up.

Initially, the campaign will start with a college bulletin board postering campaign that will take the interested students to the Activist Recruitment.com website where they will enter the data on an interactive form. Over time, we will develop other ways of building this list using other advertising vehicles like school newspapers, college radio and social media. Funding will be the key. College bulletin board postering has proven itself to be the most cost-effective way to systematically reach the college community on an on-going, systematic basis.

Organizations and campaigns will be able to access the data, utilizing any of the fields as required, including but not limited to zip codes or areas of interest. Larger national organizations helping to fund the effort will be able to influence the selection of data collected. In some cases, specific poster designs can be used in this effort when requested by our larger clients (funders.)

The postering will largely be done by the network of professionals who face the vast majority of academic and professional posters on college bulletin boards in the nation. Volunteers will not play a large role in the early phases of the project because the failure to execute problem is severe with volunteer based workforces. The economics of execution on a systematic, national scale argues strongly for the use of the existing, experienced national network for bulletin board postering campaigns. On average, our professional network has in excess of 20 years experience and a track record of a thousand or so different postering projects successfully executed.

The originator of this project is Stephen Crockett. He owns College Marketing.com and has over 30 years experience in college market advertising, marketing, promotional and public relations campaigns. Crockett is a life-long political and union activist (National Writers Union-UAW 1981, OPEIU and USW.) He is founder and host of Democratic Talk Radio. He founded and runs Mid-Atlantic Labor.com.

This service will not be available to any Right Wing organizations, groups or campaigns. While this will be a commercial venture, it is not really just commercially motivated.

Organizations interested in any type of college bulletin board postering campaigns specific to their organizations are encouraged to contact Stephen Crockett by email at [email protected] or phone at 443-907-2367. It might be a good idea to visit the College Marketing.com website at http://www.CollegeMarketing.com. We can help in poster design, campaign design and execution.

Organizations are welcome to use any of our many services to reach the college community on a local, regional or national basis. You can recruit members, volunteers or employees. You can promote issues, campaigns, events or websites. For many decades, the Right Wing has devoted huge resources to selling their agenda on American colleges with much success. While college students are naturally more “progressive” than the general population and generally more open to our ideas and values, our outreach efforts have usually been” hit-n-miss”, “off and on” and unprofessional.

When we reach college students in these early formative years, we can gain adherents for our causes for 50 or 60 years. These are the future opinion-makers and a large portion of our current activist base.

If your organization or campaign is interested in the larger, on-going student activist recruitment campaign, please contact Stephen Crockett as soon as possible.
