The book written by French intelligence experts, Bin Laden: The Hidden Truth quoted the late Deputy Director of the FBI John O'Neill as saying that the Bush Administration undermined the War On Terrorism by pursuing a foreign policy based on an Oil Industry agenda. This American hero died in the September 11th attacks because after resigning from the FBI in protest he became the head of security for the World Trade Center. According to CNN, another series of reports from a female Defense Intelligence Agency operative who infiltrated Afghanistan stated clearly that Bin Laden's terrorists and the Taliban were one in the same enemy. She advocated dropping the oil pipeline negotiations between the Bush Administration and the Taliban ;as well as, the tilt toward the Taliban of the Bush Administration in our foreign policy concerning Afghanistan. Under oil industry pressure, the Bush Administration drove her out of government instead of listening. We need a Senate investigation of the relationship if any between our foreign policy actions under Bush and the September 11th attacks. We will never be safe without examining what happened and taking action so it never happens again.
2004 is coming.

I wish we could call on our strongest Democratic voices to take on this issue, but, unfortunately, there is something keeping them quiet. The stifling of dissent, even questioning, does not fit in with 41 and 43's agenda. There are valid issues set forth in your post, Crockett, and we have seemingly lost our voices. |

"I wish we could call on our strongest Democratic voices to take on this issue, but, unfortunately, there is something keeping them quiet. " - you noticed that too. OK, let's face it. It is time to replace the hearing/speech chalenged Dems by those who have their voices and hearing intact. By those, who not only hear things, but can scream loud in protest. It is after all what they are supposed to do. To represent our interest. If they don't - their usefulness is over. We need new brooms, bunch of them, to handle this pile of elephant manure.
