In a further example that raises more questions than it provides answers; this report in the NYTimes reflects the same appearance by the administration of arrogance. An advisory panel of elite scientists, were utilized for information and direction by the WH. They advised on new, developing threats, international terrorism and assessing futuristic weaponry and were considered an "elite" source of advisory outside the defense establishment. Bush wanted to "slide in" a couple of his buddies on this panel and when the scientists balked, DoD dropped their contracts. No wonder it hasn't gotten wide coverage; no one in the media seems to want to question Bush.
