Bush is trying to wrap his extremely unpopular foreign policy ideas in the national respect we all hold for the Presidency. Bush is acting disgraceful! He does not naturally carry the traditional respect because his means of aquiring the office is unique among modern American Presidents and because his political views are rather extreme. Cancelling the ABM Treaty and opposing the international efforts to halt global warming are the keystones of the Bush approach to foreign policy. The American people are not in support of either position. Daschle represents the viewpoint of most Americans. Bush wants to silence his critics so he can mis-represent the viewpoint of America to the other leaders of the world. All Democrats should be stating these facts.
2004 is coming.

Perhaps if hundreds, or thousands of people wrote to Tony Blair, maybe he would see that dubya is not well respected by the common man. I wonder if mr. blair see's just how much of an idiot george really is being that he has met him personally. I know Schroeder. the german leader does not think too highly of him, as well as millions of other european leaders and citizens. I wish those millions of european citizens were in this country protesting daily. That may make him do something drastic like resign, or do something we want for a change. |
