I guess I seem to be the only Democrat here that has a problem with junior's "modern day" George Wallace stunt. I hope people are intelligent enough to see through Junior's latest hype. I would hate to think jobs, healthcare, and the economy lost out to bigotry. If none of you are talking about it, it must be working.
Here is some food for thought if you think your reasons are more religous than political.

mr bushs latest atttempt to further divide the country might be working ...
what happened to the inalienable and god given right to pursue LIFE, LIBERTY,AND HAPPINESS as granted by the wise founders of our great country

Bush has been a uniter, he has united Democrats and Independants. No-one that has followed the Bush tactics of the past are surprised by this latest stunt of divide and destroy, of hate and hubris.

When your record of performance simply "sucks", your only hope is trying to crate a socially polarizing "wedge issue."
The tactic is simply reaching for the lowest common emotional response instead of logical analysis. Logic and real numbers make the Bush Republican agenda (and record) look terrible. Trying to change the subject of debate is their only hope and smacks of real fear in Republican circles. The voters have turned their backs on this tactic often in the past. I believe they will do the same in 2004.
2004 and time to retake our democracy!
