This is a really big story that should be greatly publicized.

It has been reported that Senate Republican Majority Leader Bill Frist may have been forced to surrender computers from his office. Tennessee Democrats would not be surprised if his office was deeply involved in this outrageous scandal. This is really just as big as Watergate!

It fits closely into a longterm pattern of behavior by republican political operatives.

Remember the Spygate scandal where Bush White House operatives seemingly revealed the identity of an active CIA agent because her husband was one of the first to demonstrate that the Bush White House lied in order to start a war in Iraq?

Novak was used to float this false information just like he was used to float the information gained from illegally tapping into the government computers used by Senate Democrats.

We cannot let Frist control the investigation or Ashcroft or the Bush White House. It would be nothing more than a cover-up in my opinion.

During the last general election, the current Democratic Governor in Tennessee (home of Bill Frist) had his campaign office broken into and computer records stolen. I know of a Tennessee Democratic Congressional aide who had his Palm Pilot ripped-off with all his political contacts in it.

Here at DTR, we have had scores if not hundreds of attempts to break into our computers. I believe that unethical and illegal spying has become simply normal operating procedure for the Republicans in the era of George Bush!

This pattern should be the number one issue of the 2004 Elections everywhere. Republicans are trying to destroy our Democracy with these kind of Nazi-like or Stalinist tactics. Everyone involved needs long prison terms. These are crimes against the Constitution and are really a severe type of treason in fact if not in simplistic legal terms.

Feel free to cut and paste these comments in full anywhere.

2004 is coming.
