Two young men from my place of work have been called up for active duty in Iraq. Newsweek reports that some soldiers are having to buy ballistic plates ($660.00) for their vests. Without the plates the vest can not stop a round from an AK47 or any high power rifle.
We want to start a fund drive to pick up the cost for these plates for our two guys but management wants proof this is a legit problem. Does anyone have further info on this matter? Your help is greatly appreciated.
