It was a true honor and a pleasure to shake the hand of the man likely to become our next President. What began as a small rally for Howard Dean in a park across from the San Francisco Marriot grew significantly as time progressed. The small crowd of about 150 at the begining allowed several people to shake hands and ask questions. Once the loud speaker blarred the speech of Dr. Dean throughout the downtown area, the attendce grew to about 500. Maybe its time for me to get off my fence and do something to support the former Governor of Vermont and make my committment to Howard Dean for President. The doctor has energized me.

My first choice remains President Gore but I could just as easily go 100% for Howard Dean. My dream ticket would be Gore & Dean. Can anyone say landslide!!!!

I am still convinced that John Kerry has the best chance of uprooting the shrub. It is early and Kerry was slightly ahead in the last CNN national poll. But I take great comfort in the fact that our party has two candidates that can spank Bush, the second of course is the pugnacious Howard Dean. Wesley Clark, if he declares soon, could also rise to the task. Outside of John McCain, I can not think of a single Republican that can match these three in a national race. The depth of talent in our party should be something to be proud of and shines a light on our bright future.
